I would like to apologise for saying the census data would be hacked and made public in two months.
It took Three months for it to be hacked.
So glad I never got a form and thus filled it in.

Officials were today investigating claims that hackers have stolen data submitted to the 2011 Census.

LulzSec usually only perform DDOS attacks, what they do is not actually hacking.

Guess it will be good news , for those who have to wait 100 years for Census data to become public. You will be able to access it a lot sooner.
So not all bad, if it has been hacked.
Two camps of people I guess.
Those who are happy for the data they put in the form to be public and those who did not and thus did not fill it in or put in duff info.

Sorry andy, yes they did hack Sony, but not to the extent they claimed they did. They MAY also have hacked the census data, I will wait and see what news emerges over the next few days on the matter.
Most of what they do though is DDOS attacks on sites causing them to crash.

i would be really angry, i already feel that so much of our lives are monitored, and if these records are out there for all to see, that makes nonsense of doing the damn thing in the first place and being told its totally confidential.

i thought it was compulsory to fill it in, with a big fine if you don't. We were bombarded with tx and e mails from the council would you believe, endless letters in post not to forget to fill it it, and so forth.

This is a rumour at the moment and there is no evidence to back it up.

Even lolzsec have said it's a rumour and they've not done anything of the sort.
