Hi, Eight months ago whilst I was Ill in hospital, my business partner ran away with £65k of business assets and basically ruined our company and my family, we are going down a very long route to court which is getting very frustrating because he keeps lying about what he has taken and is refusing to cooperate, he has basically squirrelled all the equipment away and is denying all knowledge, even though he admitted it at the beginning, we now have to try and prove he's done it and worse still find the equipment ! What I would like to do is have his very nice 4 x 4 removed and put into storage, not to steal or sell on but as a bargaining tool, as we are getting to the end of our tether and feel very let down by the legal system, my question is what would be the consequences of such an action ?
Any advice will be much appreciated

Thanks

If it is his then it is theft.
You would then be seen as being as bad as him, will probably be charged with theft by the police, which will make the case worse for you in the long run.

He will also use it against you in any court case.

You may be tempted, but dont do it.
Can't you sue him and get a charge placed against his property?
