Being deceased - Rights on having anonymity and having no next of kin informed?

Hi, i'm wanting to know about if there are any rules on being able to choose whether your next of kin are informed about a death, is there a way to choose for anonymity and for nobody to be informed and if so how do you go about making this so.

I don't know the rights on this but maybe they have to inform the next of kin as that's what is done. You could name certain people as "next of kin" but you would have to carry that information around with you to be certain they are told. They will all get to know about it eventually I would think unless you lived miles away from the people you didn't want informed.

destroy all evidence relating to your identity...move into rented accomodation under a false name... and don't use any medical services or benefits while you are dying... otherwise someone will try to find your nOK if you can make funeral arrangements in cash up front all the better.

You could try telling hospitalls/doctors you have no living relatives of course that would probably do it.... unless someone came looking for you...and a neighbour told them you were ill.....

Your death is a matter of public knowledge - it's in the public domain. There is no reliable way of asking that any particular person/s shall not be told about it and certainly no binding way. Specifying whom you WISH to be informed is probably the most reliable route

If you are estranged from your family then they will not automaticly know when you die.

You should leave a will (with a trused friend or solicitor) so that any assets you have can be ditributed without the need to contact them. In fact make sure you don't mention them in the will.

If you leave no will, and have assets then there is the possiblitiy that one of the heirhunter scavengers will try to get a piece of your estate by contacting your relatives.
