Plans Withdrawn
4 Answers
Neighbours sold land next door, and owner put in plans for a large house...Council told me it would be decided on 4th April (it was refused) but according to details on the net the application was withdrawn on 29th March ! The Council are away for Easter so I can't ask them yet...Would they withdraw the application so they could put in a different set of plans, or what ? What would it cost them to re-submit ? John...

I guess the Planning Officer told them he wasn't going to support the application, and it would have to go to committee for a decision. With the Officer's recommendation for refusal, this would likely mean it would be finally rejected.
He might have suggested amendments to make the application more acceptable. He might have decided it was a no-no completely.
Either way, if they re-apply, it wouldn't look good to have a Refusal logged against the land........... hence they pulled the plug.
