Mobile phone bill
We have got a contract mobile phone for a daughter at £12.00 a month. Yesterday she received a text from virgin saying that she was nearing her credit limit which is £75.00. My other daughter said that she had received over 500 texts from her saying the same thing on one day. My daughter(with the contract) has said she sent one text not the rest that we have obviously been billed for. Is there anything we can do to dispute this bill as it was obviously caused by a fault somewhere ie phone or sim? The texts only stopped being sent after my daughter (contract) turned her phone off and on. Does anyone know if we have a chance of getting this bill cancelled? or should we just pay up?

I was receiving texts from a friend saying the same thing and they were coming through every 10 seconds.
I managed to contact him and his phone was in his car. He had sent me 1 text.
He contacted o2 and they somehow managed to stop them.
I think there was more like 100 in my case but I did not count every one.
He was not charged for hem.

My incident happened about a year ago so it did not relate to that incident you mention which I think happened about 2 months ago.
Oddly enough I had no occasion to use my phone for outward calls during that time but I thought it was odd I was not even getting any texts even though they are mainly rubbish the majority PPI.
Oddly enough somebody called me on my mobile a few weeks ago and said he would give me £50 if he could not save me money on my mortgage.
I kept him talking for a bit and told him I would have the £50 as my mortgage was paid off over 20 years ago.
I am still waiting for it.

Sorry about late reply ive been to work. My daughter is 12 so we are responsible for paying the bill. The phone automatically sent the messages as it was in my bag most of the day. Im going to write them a letter as I dont like contacting them by phone. Ive checked daughters message history and there is only one of the texts sent.
