Too true, RATTER. When my husband was in the army he said no matter where they were the Salvation Army would appear somehow with a cup of tea and a 'wad'. He said they were the only ones to do this no matter what. In spite of the fact that I am an atheist I cannot praise them enough for the good work they do. When he died he left instructions for The Salvation Army to do his service. I tried to give the chap who did the service some extra money but what did he do with it? He did not take it for himself, which I had intended but put it into the collection. He said he was paid a salary by the S.A. and that was enough for him to do 'God's Work'. You cannot but admire people like this.
