Did You watch this debate with Richard Bacon, usual shouting and no one asking the relevant questions, Dee was there chewing gum and looking all pleased with herself (reality star material) why hasn't someone asked where the absent fathers are and why can't they clean up their houses!

I don't think these programmes achieve much. Certainly no-one in the audience seemed to have an open mind and was interested in listening

What she said was right regards Benefits, she did not ask for the amount she gets, it was awarded to her, it's the system that's out of control.

I am not sure that questioning why White Dee and her neighbours don't dust and vacuum more would be relevant to a debate on Benefits.

I agree with Factor, this type of programme never really gets anywhere.

I thought Richard Bacon looked as if he had been dragged out of bed at the eleventh hour to host.

IMO there were to many people shouting like the bloke called Bird, never heard of him.
I think Katie Hopkins was just invited to stir up the debate, although I agree with some of the things she says, she gets a bit boring.

It was nearly as bad as the one last week with Mathew Wright presenting.

i can;t understand these programmes either, the debate on immigration was another shout fest, and as to watching that woman, rather watch paint dry

Richard bacon was pants, this programme could have been very interesting but channel 4 just cant do 'serious debate tv. two items were interesting 1) the majority of the benefit claimants on this street are receiving retirement pension ( no pensioners were shown in the programme ) 2)the programme makers were filming for 18months and were welcomed into the street, yet they only highlighted 5 people, the majority of the footage was to shock the viewer, Dee, chewing gum..........a criminal offence surely !

I think the gum she was chewing was that nicotine gum as she smokes like a chimney and you can hear that on her ample chest. Where was Fungi ?

I know, she should have dressed appropriately for someone on benefits. used dirty clothes. bitten dirty nails. no teeth, and drunk/doped up :)

Good gracious, does anyone here not know people who can do there own nails to that standard - I do. Also in many streets there will be someone ready to do your hair or make up if you are off anywhere, it has been shown time and again how they help each other.

in her own way she is the guardian angel of her street and she tries to help all who ask, but I bet when she agreed to be on tv she never dreamt she would be come a "reality star", the semi makeover was probably paid for by the tv company. Though I would not want to live next door to her I quite like her, she grows on you.
