Why Do Christians Support Jews If The Jews Do Not Believe Jesus Was...........
40 Answers
im reading wikipedia on it , if the jews believe jesus was a false messiah then why do christians associate themselves with jews ? in some articles i have read the jews hated the christians. its been 20 odd years since i studied religious education in school and its a very very complex subject . i find the bible difficult to get my head around ( gives me a headache ) lol
in a nutshell, basically what is the association between the two and why do christians stand with israel even now against hamas and the arab world.
i like to think the israeli,s are right to strike back at hamas, hamas have been the aggressors firing rockets into israel and killing innocence, i do not belive in israeli,s targeting un schools , i deplore the killing of any civillians from whatever religion but the jews have a right to live in israel free from aggression. i stand with the jews because of their continuous persecution at the hands of the romans, the arabs, the nazi,s etc.. they have been persecuted and bullied for generations from the beginning of time.

It was still a poison in our society up to the early 20th century, although less so in the Americas. I think most Christian denominations nowadays recognise that the roots of Christianity are in Judaism, and that much of the New Testament cannot be understood without some insight into Jewish beliefs and practices.
So, irrespective of the details and motives of the current conflict, over which there might well be an honest but non-religious difference of opinion, there is no longer the same religious basis of enmity.

Because not everyone is so narrow minded that they reject others based on a single difference of opinion, especially when they have so much else in common.
Also harking back to what happened to past & gone generations is usually a brake to finding solutions rather than a help. One should try to learn from the past but live & act in the present doing what is right now.

Fundamentally, the troubles in the Middle East are as a direct result of religion. No ‘Promised Land’, no Israel. The western world – which is Christian - decided that Israel should exist, and therefore it has no alternative but to support the Jews. Morally there is no justification whatsoever for Israel’s existence.
Israeli leaders seem to be going out of their way to antagonise their allies and may find themselves isolated as a result of their scorched earth policy being played out on rolling news.
They give the impression of, having finally got power after centuries of being poor and downtrodden, not having the savvy to use it effectively but merely lashing out like a petulant child.

One of the reasons that the US is Israel's biggest supporter it that many of the christian fundamentalists in the US believe that the existence of Zion(Israel) is a prerequisite for the 'end of days' which will lead to everybody nice(christians) going to heaven. There are some big flaws in their reasoning but not seemingly big enough to stop them aiding the Israelis in their indiscriminate slaughter of the innocents. (a common theme in the bible). The whole thing is a biblical massacre being played out in modern times with modern weapons, the participants are much the same and just as bloodshirsty as they have ever been. The Jews vacated their 'homeland' thousands of years ago in search of a better deal in Egypt but they 'lucked out'. Now they want it back. Just as well nobody else has their expectations.
This is what it's about
