I work as a cleaner earning £11000 per annum and work 28 hours per week. I am 64 years old. Am I entitled to tax credits / Thank you.

That's good advice and good news if it turns out you can get something, however small.
I'm surprised though as the wage is above the minimum wage. It seems odd to me that the minimum wage is set low enough to mean that recipients will always get tax credits. Does the tax credit calculation not factor in other household income?
To do an accurate calculation you would need to know the OP's circumstances -married, widowed any dependant or disabled offspring? Any other income form any source -all these things are taken into account. Go to the HMRC site and find out: http://taxcredits.hmrc.gov.uk/Qualify/DIQHousehold.aspx
I make it you'll be eligible for about £560 a year (about £10.70 a week) but I may be wrong. Put your information into this calculator to see what comes out:
