1,400 Child Abuse Suspects Identified.

This is truly awful. According to this BBC report, "Of the 1,433 suspects identified, 216 are now dead and 261 are classified as people of public prominence, with 135 coming from TV, film or radio"

The list of the type of institutions that child sexual abuse has been identified seems to imply that there isn't a single safe place to leave our kids in.

When Savile was identified as a serial child abuser, who would have thought that so many more would be discovered ?

The good news is that only some of the 1433 suspects identified are now dead, and the rest are still alive and kicking. Lets hope the authorities get to them quickly, before they die.

it is a rather appalling number, but bear in mind that they're only suspects, not convicts.

We have come a long way with this issue, in a very short time. It wasn't so long ago, that people were saying things like " Well, Jimmy Savile was never charged with anything" and similar. I believe that the cat is firmly out of the bag, and it won't be so easy to ignore now.

There is a head of steam built up, that isn't going to go away. Who would have thought, 5 years ago, that somebody Rolf Harris would be in jail ?

It was only in 2011 that Jimmy Savile was lying in state, in a gold coffin !
4000 people queued up to pay their respects, and his funeral took place in Leeds Cathedral.

We have crossed the Rubicon !

I hope all the guilty ones get hung, drawn and quartered.
All 261 of them if they are guilty.
As far as Rolf goes, keep him locked up and throw the rest of the guilty ones in there with him.
