Recently went to a family wedding and the food was luke warm we complained the food was not hot the following morning. We were offered a good will gesture but declined. We said we want money compensation as it was an expensive venue and expected better service. We have not taken to social media but as of yet no response yet. Has anyone experience a similar incident?
//The gesture they offered was only available when they had spare rooms//
When else could it be available? Would you expect them to eject some people to make room for you?
What a shame the guests didn't complain to the waiters at the time, or at least brought it to your attention.
Complaining the morning after has weakened your case for compensation considerably as there is no way the hotel can know how many meals weren't hot enough to be enjoyed nor to put the situation right.
I think the goodwill gesture is generous in the circumstances.
