There's no fixed answer at the moment because the age is gradually rising from 60 to 65. Then, from December 2018 to October 2020, the State Pension Age (for both men and women) rises to 66. Between 2026 and 2028 it will rise to 67. Between 2044 and 2046 it will rise to 68.
Those dates are based upon the current legislation but in 2013 the Chancellor's Autumn Statement suggested that the SPA might rise to 68 by the mid-2030s and to 69 by the mid 2040s.
Fortunately though, there's an easy way to find out the SPA for any individual, simply by entering their date of birth here:
