Who Is My Next Of Kin, My 69 Yr Old Mother Or My 14 Yr Old Daughter?

My cousin (aged 40) recently passed away suddenly. The family are split on pretty much every aspect of what we do now, funeral, who gets what, etc. There is no will as she was fit and healthy at 40 and didn't expect to be needing one for many years.
It would help so much if we just knew who would be classed as her next of kin

There may not be a defined 'next of kin' in law but the law is VERY clear as to who inherits when a person dies without a will.

In this instance the daughter inherits everything but anyone can arrange the funeral.

No help at all, but I'm confused as to what you are asking. In your title you say 'who is MY next of kin' but your last sentence says '...classed as HER next of kin'. Just wondering which one you are asking for.
