I've paid a garage a deposit on a car to move the vehicle closer to me for inspection, the deposit gives me the right to buy, the car was advertised at a price which is below the price now showing on their web site post the deposit being paid. The deposit is deductible from purchase price. Does this change the answers given below?

Which answers given below, mthfc?
It should be from the price that was agreed at the time the deposit was taken, but it depends on the terms on which the deposit was accepted

I was looking at answers on list prices, sorry new here , wasn't sure if my question would have been supplementary to the thread I was looking at. The fee was to transport car to a local dealer but is described as a 'refundable reservation fee' but I can see T&C's referencing Purchase and Order Forms which could be the binding contract.
My husband had a car brought nearer to us and had to pay a fee for this. It was deducted from the price of the car. The price of the car was also dearer on the website but he got it at the original price.
