Ebay Seller Cancelled Order

the seller has cancelled my order that I have already paid for, how do I get my payment back, I have already asked him for a refund but the message from ebay only gives me two answers to choose from to close the sale, either that I have not paid or that i did pay and have had the refund,nothing to say I need a refund.

Did you use PayPal ? Might get more joy that route.

I paid with Paypal

I just had a look at paypal and the payment that I sent is now marked pending and when I view the order details from there on ebay it says cancellation pending

Anything slightly out of the ordinary and the eBay system is the pits IMO. Paypal is (a bit) better and is usually the best place to control things from payment-wise. But don't hold your breath - it often takes unconscionably long. [excuse use of favourite word, LOL]

What should I do if I haven’t received an item?
