West Midlands Fire Service - Racial And Sexual Discrimination
IF the claims in the link are true, how on earth is this blatant sexism and racism allowed.
Slightly rhetorical as I assume The Equality Act allows for this positive discrimination - just about the most misnamed piece of legislation I can think of.

Surely this does a dis-service to women and ethnic minorities doesn't it? There will always be the suspicion they are only there because it was made easier for them than for white men.
"West Midlands Fire Service is committed to having a workforce which reflects the diversity of the population of all our communities, and one that is welcoming to all.
‘We are working hard to break down barriers faced by people who could bring so much to our service and to their community."
Personally I couldn't give a tinker's cuss who pulls me from a burning building, so I think the above quote is total cobblers.
