Anyone know how to turn these off ?
My woman just had an unexpected alarm related to it going to be a bit windy around here in a bit.
I thought that due to some previous government test, the details of which, annoyingly, I can't recall, meant all our mobiles were set to no notification; but it seems not.
I checked the web and all I find is instructions to search for "emergency alerts" in the settings, but that's just frustrating because not only can't I find it, the mobile's search function insists it doesn't exist either.
Can anyone recall how to switch this nonsense off please ?
TIA.

Yes, the Met Office!

Confusing isn't it.
On my phone I tried searching for emergency alerts and failed, I then search simply for 'Alerts' and ended up with options, one being ' wireless emergency alerts ' selecting that gave more options. other options were earthquake alerts and unknown tracker alerts. That's on my One plus phone, and the same occurs with my Woman's 😜 Samsung.
