I live alone but my brother and his wife live round the corner. My mum and dad live a couple of hours away but i work with my mum so i see her every day...my mum's family live and hour away, my dad's family live in England and my Gran and here sisters, their children and their grandchildren all stay in Italy. we see the Italy mob at least twice a year, my dad;s family we see every few months and my mum's family we see every other weekend.
We have never had a fall out in the family or lost touch with anyone so i think we are lucky that way. I couldnt imagine not speaking to any member of my family.

My family are great
I'm single but live with my daughter and two sons, my cousin and a lodger!!
Most of us live quite close to each other, we speak a lot and see each other a fare bit. I see my uncle about twice/three times a week but speak to him mosts days, he's probably the one I'm closest to. My sister as well, we had a fall out recently (sorry) but we've made up now. My family tend to never fall out and argue. They tend to have a live and let live attitude which is great cause I tend to get into all sorts of trouble!!
My Dad treats me like I'm 10!

Live with my wife and our large family. Some of my grown up kids live elsewhere (London, Dublin, Liverpool) and my mother and brother and sisters still live in the North of Ireland. My wife's Mum lives in london but frequently visits and we all get together several times per year. My eldest sister doesn't have anything to do with the rest of us ( her choice) and my brother and I have had incidents in the past and the relationship between my wife and my mother is very fraught but aside from that and despite it sometimes we all get on fairly well and stick together.
I am married, two grown up sons, mum in law lives near us, other relatives in London, derby, devon, cornwall, australia, I have brother I never see (******) and a sister in Jersey who I would die for, I never want to see my brother again,he never even came to my mum & dads funerals he is a waste of space, I have a big family but my wife has a small one, again a brother that never contacts anybody and a sister that lives in spain
I am married but only for a few more weeks (divorce will be through then) I live with carakeel her dog Sammy and her lovely Mum on the lovely North Devon Coast.
I have three children from my first marriage, My eldest Son (26) lives in Sweden I have a Daughter of 22 living near Croydon and a Son of 17 who also lives in North Devon with his Mother. My Mother lives in South Devon, as does my 2 Sisters and my Brother, my other Brother died 18 years ago.

I am the only child, with both parents and three of the four grandparents still alive. I would say with the exception of one grandmother, who is a little spiteful and quite mad, we are a very close family. My parents live with my mothers parents, my cousin and some waif and stray nobody is really sure who exactly is. (he is actually an uncle and again quite mad).
Families eh?

Only child, adopted as a baby, grew up with my real father's sister (aunt - whom i dont really get on with - & uncle), both my birth parents have passed away, my step father also has passed away, grew up with 1 sister and 4 brothers (my cousins) one of which I have lost touch with, found out later i had a real half brother (same mother) who lives in london, currently not talking to my 'sister' and haven't done since April this year, she was very spoilt as a child, live alone with my hound and 2 cats, married once, now divorced,no children, family live 250 miles away. They seldom drive to see me, its usually I that has to drive to see them, hoping to drive to see them over Christmas next week.
Thanks for all your answers so far :)
Me...live alone, no partner or kids, eldest of two, brother lives in scotland with his girlfriend who I meet for the first time soon, not seen him for 2 years and we don't have much contact but we don't not get on.
Parents live about an hour away in Shropshire, mum (youngest of 3) comes up about once a month as she loves the city, see my dad (oldest of 4) about once a year at christmas but have the odd 5 mins on the phone on a birthday or something.
Don't see much of my mum's family since my nan died, esp as move have now left Wales and moved all over, but more in touch with some of my older cousins now which is lovely as we all met again when nan died and at the funeral. Usually see my dad's lot at Christmas as all in Shropshire inc my gorgeous lil cousins.
Both my grandads died before i was born so never met them. Other nan alive (though a bit mad) and living with one eternal batchelor uncle who never left home and another uncle who's mentally handicapped.
There always seems to be some kind of issue going on, some quite nasty, but try to keep out of it and get in with everyone and stay out of family politics.

I live with my husband and two children. Just moved to New Zealand a few month ago. I have a brother who lives in Wales. We get on but I havent spoken to him coz in ages, everytime I phone they are either not there or the phone is engaged. Time difference doesnt help. Both my parents are alive and I ring them every week, they live in Co Durham. I now only have one uncle - all the rest of my aunts and uncles are dead. I still keep in touch - occasionally - with three of my cousins. I had 36 at one time - some have died and some have disassociated themselves from the family. My husband doesnt speak to his parents but we do keep in touch with his sisters. We are not close, except my parents, dont know why - it might have something to doe with the fact that the first 30 odd years I was constantly moving around the country and overseas due to my father and I being in the forces.
Live with my husband of 34 years and one grown up son and Shaney my dog.Other son lives in Germany where I have other family.Have three brothers and a sister but my sister died ten years ago.I was also an adopted child. My Dad died thirty three years ago and my Mum passed away within six months of my sister. My parents came from big families but sadly they are all gone now except for one ancient aunt ..a younger sister of my Dad. One of my brothers has eight children and lives in Australia. We phone and email regularly. The other two..one lives close by and the other not too far away in Suffolk. We are all close but we don't live in one anothers pockets! I have a large number of nieces, nephews, greats and grands . I expect they think of me as an ancient aunt !! Yes ....I am very lucky to have a lovely family.I couldn't imagine falling out with them and any disagreements we have had are soon forgotten.

Well, I share my home with the wonderful RATTER, my lovely 90yr old Mum and my little Shih-Tzu Sammy. My oldest son, who would new be 37, lives in my heart having died of brain cancer nearly 17 years ago. My beautiful daughter (divorced) and my three oldest grandchildren live about 10 miles away in a neighbouring town. We see each other regularly and share a very close relationship. My youngest son lives in the same town as my daughter, but I don't see him as often as he often works away, but we are close as well. He isn't with his partner anymore, so sadly I don't get to see very much of his two children anymore. I have finally found my happiness in my darling partner RATTER. In fact, everyone in my family loves this wonderful man to bits! I have one brother, who currently lives in Thailand (previously China, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Brazil). I would love to be able to say we are really close, like we used to be many years ago. But sadly over the years he has not made great effort to keep in touch regularly, perhaps because his wife isn't that fond of me I think. Hopefully now that he is retired, things might change a little. I would love that to happen, especially for my Mum's sake. We all met up for my Mum's 90th and it really was a wonderful reunion! My brother has two grown up children and I love them to bits. His beautiful daughter is studying in Germany and his son in Scotland. We are planning to see more of each other in the coming year. I have one person in my family, my most loyal and closest friend for well over 20 years. I am sort of his big sister and he my adopted little brother. He is very much a part of our family. No family feuds to report, thankfully.
