Neighbours from HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some advice please, before i end up in the nut house, I have now been complaning to both the council, env. health, police etc etc about the tennants i have living in the rented house next door to me, they have interfeared in my private life, posting notes to my door, feeding my animals, kidnapping my cats, slug pellets under my back garden gate, flicking cigar butts onto my front lawn, littering, being generally noisey, doing up cars to sell privately (to date at least 15 cars), being generally demented both of them - they have 2 children too which they constantly swear at, I have complained again tonight to both the police and their landlord as the mentally retarded guy has been blaring music out from both the cars he currently has on his drive since 7pm tonight, i held the phone out so the landlord could here the continuous drone, and he just said there is nothing they can do!!!!!!!! I am at my wits end with them, the council and the police wont do anything, i have constantly reported each incident to no avail, they are still there, how can they be forced to move ??? I have to sleep with ear plugs most nights, and they are just a dirty nightmare, they are gypsies and do car boot sales and their garden and driveway looks like a yard sale and is bringing the area down. HELP before i do something illegal!

for a start don't do anything illegal, you could report them for running a business from a private place, the inland revenue may be interested in there activitise, try and keep a record of all incidents time and dates etc, keep on at the landlord to have them evicted, ask him if he would like them living next door to him, also keep telling the council about the rubbish in the garden etc.

They are bound to be dole cheats. Report them anonymously to the Department of Works and Pensions. That should be a good start, Also they are bound to have no car insurance.

Agree with all the above comments. It is so very sad that some human beings feel that it is quite acceptable to behave in such a manner. However, are there neighbours on the other side of them. Are they just victimising you - may be because you have complained to the authorities. What do other people in your locallity think about the current situation? Together you would have more clout I would think. Also video the scene if you can and get evidence. By the way, did you get your cats back?
Also another thought - like with children who behave badly - it is sometimes better to ignore bad behaviour and "catch them being nice or good". Change tacks completely and cheerily wave at them or say "good morning1" They will probably move on if you do that for long enough. Some folk thrive on being bad neighbours and annoying people!

Firstly, go to their housing officer and make the biggest complaint you can, then go higher in the council and then threaten to take it to the MP and the local Mayor ( council will now be jumping and licking your toenails!)
Ask the council for an incident report book and EVERY time something happens - as small as a loud noise and as big as rats etc NOTE IT DOWN.
Contact benefit fraud dept and report them, contact environmental health and send them photos of rubbish etc
KEEP A COPY OF EVERYTHING!!!!!!! the council WILL lose the originals and this will prevent you going through what i did - i lost two years worth of neighbours from hell evidence becoz council lost the lot and i hadnt got copies!
Everytime you get the police involved, keep a note of the crime ref num, that will come in handy for the incident book.
Speak to one person only and demand that that is the person who communicates with you - that way you have no chance for the council to tell you "I thought you had been told...."
Do any other neighbours have problems with this family? If so, then get a petition going and deliver it to the housing officer, council complaints dept and Police.
Get in contact with the local police station and see if there is a group involved with the family and see if yo can find out what is going on - from experience, if the family are being helped becoz they are the perpetrators, then there is not normally anything you can do about them except complain.
Have you been to see your GP about the stress you are under? that will always help your case as well - if your prepared to give that kind of info out

I feel for you I am in the same boat, do not complain to any one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! get out and start over , nobody will help !! good luck do not feel it is your fault it is not there are bad ones everywhere !!!!!!!!

Sadly, getting out to a new place is not always an option and its not an option for us.
