I need to borrow 400 - quite short term. I basically get paid later this month because of the holiday period.
I found this out quite late - so I cannot pay my rent on time. I mentioned this to my landlord - but he wasn't understanding.
I am aware there are companies that offer short term loans, because of my status - I'm paid weekly and have a bad credit rating. I'm unsure what to do.
I can't ask friends or family to lend me the cash and if I went to a high street bank I would be turned down.
Your landlord sounds like a bit of a d*ck , but myabe he doesn't just want o go, 'oh, OK then' incase it becomes a a habit.
I would not worry about getting a loan. Just pay him when you get paid. He can't do much about chucking you out unless you are seriously in arrears. the law looks after you more than it does him.
As teag1rl says pay when you get it, there's very little the landlord can do legally. It would take months to throw you out by which time you will have paid so just stick to your guns. You have already explained, he may not like it but he knows what his options are. Even if he starts eviction proceedings he'll look very silly when you have paid up! Under no circumstances borrow the money, if you can find a lender it will be at astronomical rates. Just look upon it as a loan from your landlord and pay up as soon as you can.
how much over the date are ou talking about?? i am a landlord and written into our agreements it states that 7 days overdue and a 25 charge is added andinterest thereafter which will prob work out cheaper than borrowing shortterm
