During the storms of early this year we lost most of our fencing which seperates ourselves and next door. We paid for it all 6yrs ago without any help from the neighbours but now it needs doing again we feel a little cheesed off that we have to pay for it done again!!
Our driveway is being destroyed by their unruly children, the original fencing was broke on numerous occasions by their children resulting in the weekness which led to it being destroyed in the storm.
Do we have to pay for it all?
If we do, do they have any rights over it?
Can we apply anti-vandal grease?
We are not 100% sure if they are local authority tennants though and if that is the case then they wont pay too!!
You need to get it established who is responsible for the fencing. It might not be down to you, and if next door are council (or private) tenanants and they are responsible, then any new fencing should be down to the landlord.
