two years ago i steal some makeup from the shop, shopkeeper saw me and he call the police then they took me to police station did my fingerprints and dna etc.etc they give me a caution and i paid �85 as a penality fee and i swear not to do this thing again i want to know that i have got criminal record now or not as i am planning to go to usa will i able to get a visa or not because i have been arrested once now this will stay on police record forever tat i am a theft is us embassy will be able to find out tat i have been arrested when they will do my fingerprints when i go for interview

You have not been convicted of an offence, you agreed to a fixed penalty ticket �80 and as long as you paid it that is the end of it.

As NORMAN says if you have a British passport you can answer the immigration questions honestly as you have no convictions or cautions.

If you have a passport from another country ask your embassy the procedure for immigration to the usa.
