I was coming north along the A1 (I don't know the area) north of Highgate, London, and was getting ready to turn right to carry on following the A1. I went through the lights and pulled up to the car in front who was waiting to cross the flow of traffic. I realised that I needed to go straight on and then bear right rather than turn right where I was so when the car in front of me pulled away I pulled away without turning (the lane I was in allowed this). As we went, the traffic camera flashed twice (I may have still been out of camera's view 1st flash). I didn't see anyone else go through on red... Does anyone know what might happen? The sequence was definitely well before red when I originally crossed the line. Thanks
As long as you crossed the line while the lights were green, you've got nothing to worry about. If the camera really has taken two photographs of your car, it will be apparent from the photos that they don't show you going through on red.
Do you want to answer my question or make up your own? I can read a highway code... I have been driving long enough to not ask obvious questions... There was no box, and anyway you can enter a box if the road you are entering is not blocked.
