My son lives with his mother, in Hastings i think. I have not seen him for about 6 years is there anyway i can gain access to him. I pay maintenance for him and i would like to start seeing him on a regular basis. What can i do? i had this question on the family topic and someone suggested that i may get some help here

Yes you should be able to get limited access, you need to go to Citizens Advice Bureau to get the facts.

I think you may be in for a slating on here now for not seeing your Son for six years!!

i don't know where he is.
I won't be giving you a slating, as I know that mothers and fathers can do a 'flit' and it's hard when that happens.

Saying that, I do think you should have tried earlier on ~ and I'm sure a court would say the same thing. As I have said on another thread, you are paying maintenance..which to some extent SHOULD be commended ~ you ca't exactly be accused of being a deadbeat dad :o)

Is there no way at all you can find out where they are? is there some history? eg. does your ex have a special reason as to why she wants no contact with you? how is the maintenance paid?

So many questions to answer...sorry, but all will need to be answered before you can move forward.

i was due to see my son on a wednesday and on the monday before she had gone. Rumour has it that she is living in Hastings. She's just a bit mental thats all
Leave them alone. You have managed 6 years without seeing him and I am sure that he is doing well enough without you. If you really care you won't put him through this!
