caution from police for actual bodily harm

once a person has been cautioned by the police is it possible for the defendant to take it to civil court - if so, is it costly for the victim and defendant and what could the end result be

I am confused - why would the defendant want to take it to civil court?

If you meant the victim, it is possible and the award would be financial compensation.

If the assault was serious enough it would make more sense for the victim to claim through the Criminal Injury Compensation Board.

Hi, i agree with the answer posted by ethel if a victim wants to claim compensation then at the time of the complaint being investigated and dealt with, the should state they wanted to claim compensation through the civil injury compensation board.
