Can a witness for the applicant in a tribunal hearing (land registry) be forced to attend. my friend signed an affidavit over 14 months ago and the hearing is now in a months time and she does not want to go.

As your friend has already signed an affidavit they will probably not be required to attend the hearing, however they may be issued with a summons. If they ignore the summons they can be charged with contmpt of court.
