As you will all note. i Have had some great answers. I am suspended on full pay but the fact that it has taken so long worries me in a way.

The company i work for are accusing me of visiting inapproriate web sites. I have been suspended from 9th august till now. I had to submit a statement of what had happened that afternoon for which i also have 2 witnesses. In between that time i have attended a meeting on 14th september. In the meeting on 14th september they also showed me a printout of other sites that i had supposedly been on but these are shown as blocked sites because of the nature of them, i havent visited these sites. Also i have not heard a word since then.

In the meeting on 14th september my union rep raised the question to my line manager and said 'surely you have a good word for cheryl and know she is a good worker' My line manager's reply was 'no im negative to this, i am one of the investigating officers'. Can my line manger be one of the investigating officers along with the HR woman who was also there in the meeting?

This matter will undoubtedly be going to a hearing. Who will be present in this hearing and what will be said. Will they decide what is happening i.e. sacking or will i have to go through my statement again?

It would be surprising if your direct manager wasn't present at the meeting.

Didn't you ask this just a couple of days ago?
