i had a defined contact order put in place to see my daughter as my ex wife stopped my contact. this was in 2001, now although my daughter is now 9 the order has served us all well. now my ex has decided to break the order stopping me seeing my daughter during the week and is moving her far from the area. i am awaiting a court date but wish to know :what are the conciquences of her doing this?

Moving away, although inconsiderate, does not break the order as the onus is on you to make arrangements to see your daughter. However, if your ex-wife has actually said that you are no longer allowed to see your daughter then she is contravening the contact order. I'm afraid that the implications of this will only amount to your ex being reminded of the terms of the order and to make the time available for you to have the agreed contact.
