deregistered by doctor
I made a complaint about a doctor at the practice I attend and as a result received compensation. I have now received a letter from the practice stating that they have deregistered myself and my 3 children from the practice as they feel that there is a breakdown in doctor/ patient relationship. I had been thinking of changing doctors myself but I have a young baby and wanted to wait until all of his health checks/injections were completed. My question is simply can they do this????

Alternatively it will be better to find one yourself, because if you go into the allocations process, they dont have to take you on permanently and could deregister you again
Have found another doctor, still not the point though. They have made a mistake and I had a right to complain. They have not lost out financially their insurers have! I should have had the right to decide in my own time when it was best to change doctors to maintain a quality of care for my new baby son who had never seen the doctor that I complained about as there are over 10 doctors at the practice I attended.
