please any one help
My freeholders have written a letter to my morgagage lender saying the flat is not maintained and they should take ove rthe ownership of it.i have only had the flat 15 months its in a very good condition.
what it is he has a cellor below my flat - he wants tochange to a flat and now he told me that my bathroom water has leaked into it and damaged it he wants me to pay 2k -- i dont have it he said he will take me to court.
the insurance company cam e and checked it they said its a long term damage not caused by me although a contributory factor.
please tell me what to do i have all my money invested in to the flat.
freeholder keeps charges me �700 every 6 months for maintance i keep paying !!!!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If you are paying �14,000 a year for maintenance - it sounds like the Freeholder should be responsible for at least some maintenance. However, exactly what he is responsible for will be set out in the terms of your Lease - this may not include plumbing etc.
It does sound like your Freeholder is trying to pull a fast one by seeking posession after such a short time. Have you not received any request or notice to carry out remedial works?
You need to get a copy of your Lease, and, as meglet says, get some legal advice from a solicitor. Best of luck.
