Baliffs recoving money owed.

Just wondering if anyone knows how long it should take for a baliff to recover money?

I've had a court baliff acting on my behalf for money that is owed to me but I've never had any correspondence from them and whenever I ring they always say 'Oh I'm seeing him (him being the person who owes me money) today'. They really arn't very forthcoming with any information.

The judgement for this case was issued over 4 months ago and the warrant was granted 3 1/2 months ago.

Any help or info would be much appreciated :)
