The UK customs & excise have been passed a disputable debt from the French revenue, addressed to my ex-husband and myself, as I own my own house (my ex-husband does not have a house) I am informed that the joint debt will be taken from me, but my ex-husband owns a boat - can i put a charge on the boat until the dispute is settled to ensure that we both pay the debt if necessary???
