I am not an expert in NI law, since it differs in some respects. However, I reckon s14(1)(d) of the Wills and Administration Proceedings Order 1994 (1899 NI 13), is pretty much word for word the same as s20 Wills Act 1837. So my tentative view is, yes, it does apply.
