child taken into care in Scotland

My child has been taken from me under section 25 and social work are applying for section 70 to the childrens reporter. I said at one point that I did not feel that she was my baby and I felt like harming her. I was very unwell but would never do this and nothing has ever happened to my daughter. I have mental health issues and been diagnosed with schizophrenia however I dont believe this and hope to have a second medical opinion. My community psychiatric nurse said she would be taken for four days and given back to me after I had had a rest in hospital. This did not happen and she has not been returned to me since. Information on the reports from social work have been in accurate and one sided. They have said my house is unsafe also because of the number of police visits (this has been for minor things such as pickpocketing and my child dialling 999 by accident). I am trying to get my own social housing although this has been extremely slow.
Social work are monitoring my bonding attachment and mental health issues during contact sessions and even though I have enjoyed seeing my daughter they are painting the complete opposite picture on their feedback report verging and have written some lies. I am finding this really hard and feel like the contact is very staged whereby whatever I do I am being criticised. The childrens reporter is going to make a decision if this is going to a childrens hearing. I am seeing a solicitor who deals with family law next week.

Its horrible as I feel powerless and actually feel I am being bullied now to have my child taken from me.

I understand everyone is doing a really important job and that if something were to happen but this is injustice.
I am so desperate to have her back where she belongs.
Please can anyone pass on any advice or experiences.

how old is your child? I first thought she was very young as you said "baby" then you say she has been pickpocketing and calling 999.
Is there anyone (family member, childs father, GP) who can assist you by perhaps providing a charactor reference or anything.
If you have been given any medication for the schitzophrenia then continue with this until you have had a second opion and accept all medical advice.
Take someone with you when you see your solicitor in case you are unable to take in everything that they advise. It may help for a friend to take notes.

Hi thanks for answer. Sorry my child is 2 years old. She dialled 999 by accident when playing with the phone. I live with my mum who was pick pocketed therefore the police visited my house.

My sister is trying to help by writing letter and she will come to the solicitor with me. I will ask her for a character reference. How does she write this and whom can she send to? My doctor is again very biased.

so 2 police visits, one an accidental 999 call (no big thing) and one unconnected to you and your daughter in any way? These would not cause your child to removed from your care.

your solicitor will advise of references, just have an idea of who may be able to help in that respect.

1 seek legal advise
2 co operate with social services. As long as you are in conflict with them and suspicious you will be more defensive and not open to the help offered . Your daughter will pick up on the hostility between you and them and this will be hard for her.
3 acknowledge honestly the difficulties you have had . It is easier to work with parents who accept they had been strugglin and want help. Its more likely you could get your child back then than where you deny difficultys.
4 Seek parenting support/training. Comply with all your doctors/nurses advise.
5 get a job/training course
6 link with local community supports/ groups.
7 Do you have any family/relatives or the childs dad who could care for the child until you are avle as opposed to her remaining in care
