Hi everyone

My partner, just over 1 1/2 year ago, inherited 50% of 3 propeties from his mother as deeded by her will, other half's already owned by the father. Probate was done by the father himself. One property is his home, two are rented out for nominal rent.

Due to recent fallings out over money for supposed improvements, how does he go about formally registering his interest in the properties so that he can not sell the propeties without his knowledge and for prove of ownership. Both mother & fathers names still on title deeds from land registery, these were never changed.

Is it best to change with LR, if so what is the form name please? (i have tried to look but got confused) or would it be best to formally lodge a charge over property?, and if so how do you do this?

IHT - does not apply as under limit (we are in north england!! cheap)

Many thanks for any help given
