Hi Ethel Can you tell me if the cheap PAYG mobile phones sold by Virgin & which it states can get web access
will enable me to access my emails
whilst on the move? In fact is there any mobile that will do this? Ron.

Ron, their website is extremely confusing. From what I can tell unless you pay �20 a month on PAYG and get free unlimited web access (which I assume you don't want) you will pay 30p to access the web in a 24hour period.

Now that to me seems extremely good value. From what I can tell their cheapest top up us �10, and that gives you 300 free texts; 20p per minute call costs to any mobile or landline and 30p for unlimited web access in a 24 hour period.

BUT in the small print unlimited web access is restricted to 25mb per day for 30p. Now that to me is not unlimited - it is very limited but it is more than enough to read your emails.

When I am away in the UK I use my mobile phone to access my emails, and if there is anything that needs attending to I go to a public pc to reply.
