Who is responsible for the maintenance of a repossessed house?
Today I received a letter from my neighbours' insurance company claiming that a part of the roof of my repossessed house had fallen on their insured's car causing 2500 worth of damage, which I am liable to reimburse them for. However, the house was repossessed from me by the mortgage company in November of last year, though my name is still on the deeds.
Surely, I'm not liable, am I?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'm so sorry that I can't be of more help. Were you insured before and during the repossession?
Good Luck.
