Maternity leave & Holiday pay?

I am due to go on maternity leave at the end of august. My holidays at work run from April to April and I will not have used it all by the time I go on maternity (and if I don't use it, I lose it!!!) Will my employer pay my owed holiday when I leave on maternity. As I understand it, I will keep accruing it. Or would it be better just to take my leave now?

You should be able to add the holiday on to the end of your leave or in some cases at the start. Which is what I did. Finished in November but mat leave didn't officially start till mid December. Hope that's clear lol!
When I went on maternity leave, i was allowed to take any holiday owing either as a lump sum or as actual holiday. I was also given holiday for the time on paid maternity leave, entering into a new holiday year. I think in the end I was allowed 7 weeks in one go. Not sure, if thats a legal thing or just a nice company!
i used my whole years holiday before my leave. finished up in the middle of march but my maternity started round about 20th april last year

i was then made redundant when my maternity ended but it had gone into a new holiday year, so i got my redundancy plus the holidays built up whilst on maternity
