How do I find his will??

My Dad has recently died.. He spoke of having a will kept with a solicitor but I dont know which one... My brother and me have looked through all of his paperwork but have found nothing.. Is there anywhere we can contact to find out where his will is kept????

Would suggest phoning a few local solicitors or an advert in the paper.

You could try the Probate Registry in London. There is a register of wills there, but very little used.

Other than that, I would try placing an advert in the Law Society Gazette.

Rather than phone the local solicitors I would send a mailmerged letter to all the local ones addressed to the Head of Probate (if they have a website, you can look them up on there) and ask them to check their storage vaults for his will.
