Have they recently made a law banning filming on Tube stations or was the person who tried to stop me just making it up, considering the vast number already on Youtube and past invitations to go on the platform with my own camera from helpful staff?
Filming/Still Photography on private property has always required permission of the owner but in some (many?) cases owners appear lax in actively ensuring permission has been granted. A crackdown on filming on London Underground property was instituted back in April. Flash photography, additional lighting and the use of tripods is not allowed on LU platforms.
I read the link, and although it mentions permits for 'normal members of the public' for £30 a month (clearly another way of filling TfL's admitted black hole) another site says this only covers filming with a tripod and hand held cameras/phones etc are not covered. This does not appear on the official site but wondering where they got it from as may well be correct.
