Hiya.

I just wanted some opinions please.
My partner took out a fully comprehensive insurance policy with the co-op on 21st december 2009. He went through a financial advisor.
He uses a company vehicle but needed the policy in his own name. The advisor had all the information and he took out the policy.
On the 10th Feb my artner skidded on black ice and had an accident. He exchanged details with the other party and he contacted his insurance, only to be told there was a discrepency on the policy. The financial advisor has put my partner as the registered keeper of the vehicle which has never been the case.
He has sent a written statement to the co-op asking for this to be resolved. We have tried over the last 2 weeks to speak to the FA to no avail. We have also e-mailed his manager asking him to contact us and have been ignored by him as well.
The insurance company have also been unable to contact him even though they have his personal moile number as well.
I just wondered where we will stand with the underwriters, as it is our word against his.
I just feel sick with all the worry.

Any advice would be welcome.

Thankyou

To be honest.., its not really hard with various car insurance comparison websites to find your own car insurance. At least then u know what goes on the policy. However, I would imagine the FA sent u a copy of the policy document and I'm pretty sure the insurance company will say u had an opportunity to correct any errors, altho I am also sure u will have some come back against the FA if u can prove u gave him the correct information.
