tesco club card points

I am not a huge points person I have had a card for a while but have only started using it the past few months I also shop online too. So today I thought i could be missing points online so I logged on and it saidanother rd was registered but it just gave the last few digits like they do when they give credit card number securely It wasnt the card I was holding but it said below to swap cards type in new number and click submit which I did but then it got rid of the previous card completely and thats when it got me thinking

A) which previous card was it
b) was that card actually mine or someone elses? no-one else uses my online account
c) where is this card/account now if it is registered for another account has someone at a old address for me got the card and the vouchers and has been using them?

I rang the club card number and the guy said the I had no other account at that address and he couldnt see any other card linked to my name and address or current card number.

He wasnt able to get any of the old card details back off the online account but said it was probably another account linked to me even though he said there wasnt another registered against me???? so surely all those online purchase points are somewhere I cannot get them.

has anyone else had this happen please.

When you buy something from Tesco look at the receipt to see if it has points to date. or ask at Cutomer Service if they can check your points. If they say NIL then something is wrong, but I doubt it

When you log onto tesco.com there is an option that allows you to check out your clubcard details It is ages since I used this function so I can't remember how much information it gives you.

Does the clubcard not have a card number and account number? I am sure that I used to get them mixed up.

it seems that often you can have two accounts that are linked the online clubcard number and a card u may hold and shop with in store they maybe differnt numbers but they are linked somehow

My 'card' that logs online purchases is a different number to the real card i use in the shop. No idea why but they all link up ok and I get all the points on my statements.

The card number and the account number are different. I was told that when you get a new card, the number is different but they should all link into the same account.
