I have been paying child maintenance for 6 years now, the csa are kind of involved but the payments go straight to the pwc, i pay it each week into her bank, with a receipt. up untill two weeks ago i had completely forgotten that the csa were even remotely involved as i have not heard from them once in the 6 years that i have been paying pwc. when it all started i had a letter from csa stating what i had to pay each week, since then (6yrs ago) i have heard nothing from them, about 2 years ago i got a new job, little bit more pay. my ex said she contacted the csa to notify them of her change of address, so they asked her aswell if things are the same or changed on my part and i am to prove either way. my worry is that will csa backdate my payments from when i left my old job up to now? or will it be assessed as a new claim? as i said, i only remembered the csa were kindve involved when she told me two weeks ago. she doesnt know about the job change.

Its your responsibility to tell the CSA change of circumstance so yes you need to update them change of salary... after all there your children your probably paying the minimum amount anyway.
