However, I don't know the answer to your question although I can't see why you can't.
Could you not call the CSA to ask?
TBH You may well have as much hassle with them anyway - it took me over 10 years to get any money via the CSA and I only made them get their finger out when I asked them for the complaint forms to make a formal complaint - a few months later, voila! Money in my bank account
We need the same laws as they have in America IMO
Good luck and I'm sure some one will come along who knows for sure

no problem
I thought that might be the case with the CSA. I thought is was easier to implement payments if it was made via a court order? Obviously not
I know (in the end!) thew CSA were going to court to make my ex pay inc back payments. He had the order in front of him and was given 14 days (I think) to pay. I had agreed to half of what was owed in the vain attempt to make him give something for the 17 years he hadn't paid for his child despite having 2 more with his second wife. If he didn't pay something then they were sending in the bailiffs to remove goods
As I said he did eventually pay up something but it wasn't even half of what he owed his daughter in terms of being a father. It is not about money but about him taking responsibility, which he never did do and still doesn't in many ways
Sadly, because he is also a moron he told said daughter that he had to sell his house to pay it! the lies that my ex spouts are unbelievable lol
I hope you get some where - do you/did you have legal aid?
