In legal terms what species of property is a gym membership? Is it transferable?

Now, given that, someone might ask about 'intellectual property'. Isn't that 'property' ? No, not strictly, but 'property' is a convenient word to use for it as something readily marketable, something which you could trade and value.It's really a right. I don't think gym membership is 'intellectual' anway !
