What is likely to happen after I supposedly bit a bouncer's hand?
3 Answers
I was recently thrown out of a club for spilling my drink into the air whilst dancing. The bouncer has said in his record that he approached me to leave and when I did not he forced me out. This is not my recollection of it. I also have a witness (my friend, although I was unaware he'd seen the incident until after I left the police station) who agrees with me. I was grabbed from behind immediately and forced into a headlock, dragged through the club and thrown outside. I was very concered I would get a beating whilst outside as the bouncer was sayng some very worrying things but was relieved when he let me go. As I turned around to see where my friends were the same bouncer re-emerged, called me over, grabbed me and called a police officer over. He told the officer I had bitten him and I was arrested. I am 99% sure I didnt bite him and 100% sure I didn't bite him intentionally. I was asked if I had anything I shouldnt have by the officer to which I replied I had a small bag of cannabis on me. I was arrested and spent the night in the cell. Because I denied the charge I am now waiting to return to the police station on bail. What is likely to happen? I'm hopeful there will be CCTV footage but not sure as of yet.

I am so worried, I have lost sleep and had my life tipped upside down because I was slightly over-exuberant whilst dancing. We were in the club for around 25 miniutes. My sollictor told me there is no such thing as "pressing charges" in this situation. Does anyone know what she means by that? Is this likely to go all the way to court?
