Dear all,

Many years ago i was charged for driving without insurance and summoned to court for that exact specific offence, i received 6 penalty points and a fine. I currently carry out voluntary work in the community helping people with their debt and help in other various activities. I had to do a CRB check for the charities i work for and it came back on the CRB that i had been cautioned with theft of a vehicle. This is completely opposite to what I presumed I had thought to be charged with. I have requested my court documents from my solicitors and I was only charged with driving without insurance and the proof is on the court summons. I am currently in the process of solving the dispute with CRB and they said they will get back to me in 21 days. I am worried as this will stay on my record forever and this is incorrect and the police officer might have cautioned me completely wrong. I also am applying to go to law school this september! Any advice would be much appreciated. thanks

SAme thing happened to me , I was stopped by police a couple of months ago well driving They took a couple of my details and asked me have I ever been in trouble with the police I told them yes when I was a teenager I was arrested for being in a stolen car well I told the copper that and the next thing I know he's saying I'm a lier because I was involved in a hit and run and the person I run over was killed . WEll after that he didn't want to let me go for lying . I just think It's strange I'm a murderer who's never been to prison lol
