Possibly.
all knives??

and there are age limits in force. 18 i believe to buy a basic kitchen knive.
that'd do wonders for cutlery sales. Would children be required to use chopsticks?
no
how would you enforce it
There are laws in place now how can you ban all knives how would you eat your food

No, not at all. Totally an-Policeable and draconian and would have no affect whatsoever.

If they out-law knives, only out-laws would have knives.

It would be the same as when the banned handguns.
we dont use knives to eat 19-times

and there is an age limit, ive seen it all over the place
I have that many knives I'd never manage without them... some of them would get me in real poo if I was caught out with them... and all I use them for is cooking or gardening....

With the amount of people getting knifed, they should come up with something.
i use mine for cutting veg and as a screwdriver
Safiya how do you cut your meat or bread
As per Ratter.

Why not just ban everthing which could be used to kill or injure?

And there are already laws in place regarding age as others have said.
meat with a spoon, bread with hands
you can die from drinking too much water....should that be banned... knives don't kill or injure its the idiot at the handle end that does that
Just trying to work out how you would carve meat with a spoon? ;o(
The age limit is currently 18 I would imagine, you will probably find that most offenses involving knives are committed by thugs over that age.

When I was young and from about the of 10 years I and most kids carried a knife, usually a sheath knife hanging off our belts. They were never ever used for anything other cutting sticks and carving a name in a tree etc. It actually taught us respect, same with airguns, most kids had airguns, very rarely were there any problems with them.
I have a wonderful meat cleaver hanging in my kitchen!!
People have been stabbed with knitting needles and combs, I say BAN THEM!!

Come LofftyLottie, hand them over or I will have you locked up, you thug!!!!
RATTER.....good point.

The first thing that one did when joining the Boy Scout's was to by a sheath knife......no obvious problems then with stabbings.

However i am lead to believe by the "no wrinklies" of AB that we are not a more violent society...........so i am reassured.
we dont carve meat lottie...the only roasts we do are chicken and its dead easy to stick it on a plate and use a spoon or our hands... we dont eat stuff like chops or steaks either and if we did we would eat with our hands probably, we usually cook 'one pan' food with the meat cut smallish to start with
