Accused of theft

I have been accused of theft from my employer, something I completely deny. I have not been charged however, I can see this happening due to circumstantial evidence. I look forward to my day in court. It has become apparent the police are missing the issues that can prove my innocence all be it I concede it is their job to help prove my guilt. They have not searched my work place fully or even close so realistically I have it in my mind that they can't say for sure things are missing. My 1st Q to them in court would be, have you searched, answer not fully. Then how do you know they are missing. Am I barking up the wrong tree here. The implication of being found guilty is huge, I will lose everything including children, home, wife, job, pension etc. Grateful for any help/guidence.

Have you been dismissed for gross misconduct and has your employer stated that will be prosecuting you? They would only do that if they had sound grounds to persue the case.

I haven't been dismissed as they are awaiting the outcome of any action taken by the police/cps. I am still being paid and at work!

I don't understand how your employer can have accused you yet you are not at the least suspended pending disciplinary processes being actioned

They accusation has been made however, they are standing by the principal of innocent until proven guilty. It is in the hands of the police and cps, my employer is classed as a witness. I have a solicitor however, there is nothing really to be discussed at the moment as I have not been charged and no disclosure has been given. I am just worried and trying to save my future with help from anyone.

To know the nature of the missing property would be a starting point.

What I meant about circumstantial evidence is that they are putting 1+1 together and getting 8. They are missing the obvious that will prove my innocence.

Yes been interview and denied everything, giving them all the information I had. I am accused of stealing equipment from my work place. Just feeling sorry for myself on the wife thing. I have put my work before her and my kids for many years despite her protest for me not to only to have this chucked at me.

If you want any real help on here (and there are plenty of people who could help you) you have to stop being so cryptic and tell everything, otherwise people are going to get hacked off with your evasiveness (sp) and then you won't get any help.
