ive recently been arrested for gbh section 18 and abh, ive had my interview and explained to them on my terms what happened, to cut the story short

i was recieving alot of harrasment for months from somebody which i had previously rowled with, anyway at the scene i was walking back to a car when the person shased me i then pulled a bar from the car when he was within meters from me and hit him with it once, we then wreslted on the floor for a few seconds and the person lent up to bite me as i held him down in retaliation i bit him back on the lip which caused him 37 stitchs, it tore through his lip, even if it is dropped to gbh, or abh? what can i expect from this? i have a caution in assault but no other convictions,

thanks

Hitting a person with an iron bar, let alone biting his lip off, sounds serious to me.
and your point is? -
mine, or harla's?
In England and Wales, an offence under section 18 is punishable with imprisonment life or any shorter term
if the remark was directed at my post boxtops then I was (I thought) obviously replying to the op -
So he didn't actually hit you at all?
sorry rsvp, you never know!
But, in mitigation, he only used the iron bar once. Showed remarkable restraint there. The judge will take that into consideration.
xx :-) boxy
would think a custodial sentence.
what does your solicitor say?
All of us keep a bar in our car, just in case, don't we? I'd have to pull off a bit of roofrack...

thanks for your reply guys, ill try and answer where i can,

Yes i only hit him once then dropped it afterwards, my solicitor says its to early to say yet were still waiting for evidence to come through i had months of harrassment from the victim but ive been told it wont be taken into account if it wasnt a homocide?? the guy was making remarks about a dead family member in the texts. i expect it will be in the paper when im convicted bailed till the 30th

i showed alot of remorse afterwards to his family etc and handed myself in will that help?
and if its dropped to gbh what can i expect then?

and no im not a great white shark things happen in fights i regret it alot and the caution was from a previous night on the Fosters in town im not a violent person so the judge will have to consider that too?
